Eddie Redmayne & Jude Law Appeared on the Graham Norton Show

Actor Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander) and Jude Law (Albus Dumbledore) appeared on the Graham Norton Show.

Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander) and co-star Jude Law (Albums Dumbledore) appeared on the Graham Norton Show to chat about their Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald film. As you can see, Eddie brought along a leg injury, which he compared to that of Tom Cruise, who famously halted Mission Impossible filming after leaping from a building and breaking his ankle. He revealed he sprained his ankle after tripping up on a crash mat while filming a ‘hardcore’ stunt.

“Well, I was on set of a quite hard core ‘stunty’ thing about two people in a hot air balloon and they had this crash mat beneath the balloon in case you fell out. I walked on to the crash mat, tripped on it and fell and sprained my ankle.”

“Now I look like RoboCop – they told me I had to wear it and I am being obedient.”

Talking about his role of the Magizoologist Newt, he told host Graham: “When you get to be in JK Rowling’s world, you suddenly get a wand – you’ve pretty much waited all your life for this moment and you think you are going to be a pro at it, but you really don’t know what to do with it.

“So, I actually got a movement coach to help me work out how to use it – whether to do it over the top or minimal – we really studied it.”

Rupert Grint Admits Fame is ‘Dehumanizing’

Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) admits he’d reached a point in his Harry Potter career in which he’d considered leaving the franchise.

Yes, it’s true. In the most recent interview of Rupert (Ron Weasley), he has opened up on a moment in which he considered leaving the Harry Potter franchise. No doubt the series helped Rupert gain a lot of experience and reputation when it comes to acting. But the huge fame that came with the job seemingly left Rupert reconsidering his future with it. In that interview, he revealed that after Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire – the fourth of the eight films – he thought about throwing in his wand.

“I had just finished my GCSEs,” he told The Independent. “I thought ‘Do I actually want to keep doing this? It’s a bit of a drag.’

“Because obviously it’s a big sacrifice. You take for granted anonymity, just doing normal stuff, just going out.”

He added: “Everything was different and a little bit scary. There were times when I was like ‘I’m done.’”

Harry Potter Helped Evanna Lynch Overcome Eating Disorder

Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) opens up about her eating disorder and tells how the Harry Potter saga helped her overcome the disease.

Evanna (Luna Lovegood) and her Dancing With the Stars partner Keo Motsepe are bringing the Harry Potter magic to the ballroom by dancing the Viennese Waltz to the tune of the iconic “Hedwig’s Theme.” Before taking the stage next week, ET’s Katie Krause was with Evanna and Keo at their DWTS rehearsal on Thursday, where Evanna reflected on how the famous franchise helped her with her body issues and overcome an eating disorder.

“I believe on raising awareness on this issue and it’s very healing for me to talk about this stuff,” she confessed. “I wanted to talk about how before Harry Potter, I was quite sick, and how the Harry Potter books really helped me through an eating disorder. And the reason I wanted to talk about it on here, it’s really healing for me… That is the full story, that’s the only kind of honest way to tell it, and that’s why it was so special because it was the only kind of light that I saw in the world at a very dark time.”

Adding that getting her Harry Potter role was a “fairy tale,” she however, doesn’t want her story to be sensationalized and for people to think that her mental issues were “cured” just because she got the part.

Miranda Richardson (Rita Skeeter) and David Tennant (Barty Crouch Jr.) attended Amazon’s London TV Showcase in London, UK today.

Today, October 02, actress Miranda Richardson, best known as Rita Skeeter to us Potterheads, and her co-star David Tennant (Barty Crouch Jr.) attended Amazon’s London TV Showcase in London to promote their latest project, Amazon Prime Video show Good Omens.

Neil Gaiman, author of the book, announced earlier this year he’d be teaming up with the BBC to bring the book to TV.

“Almost 30 years ago, Terry Pratchett and I wrote the funniest novel we could about the end of the world, populated by angels and demons, not to mention an 11-year-old Antichrist,” Gaiman commented.”It became many people’s favourite book. Three decades later, it’s going to make it to the screen. I can’t think of anyone we’d rather make it with than BBC Studios, and I just wish Sir Terry were alive to see it.”

Joining Miranda and David in the cast are Michael Sheen, Sam Taylor Buck, Daniel May, Jon Hamm and Sian Brooke. The show is directed by Douglas Mackinnon.

Katie Leung is Being Typecast Because of Her Chinese Background

Katie Leung (Cho Chang) complains that she is being typecast because of her Chinese background and still suffers racial abuse for playing Harry Potter’s first love.

Katie Leung (Cho Chang) – starring in TV show Strangers – has just revealed she still suffers racial abuse for playing Harry Potter’s first love — and has told of her frustration at being pigeonholed as an Asian actress. The 31-year-old said she is always cast according to her race.

Leung plays Lau Chen in the eight-part ITV political thriller Strangers, which follows the death of the wife of Professor Jonah Mulray, played by John Simm, in a mysterious car crash.

Katie, who has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre, studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow after making the Potter films. Complaining of being typecast because of her Chinese background, she said:

“There is just so much I want to do and play. My expectations are really low at the moment. It is really hard.

“I don’t want to deny my heritage, or culture, but at the same time I feel like we need to reach a place where people are not stereotyping me.”
