The rules of the Triwizard Tournament, which is about to take place at Hogwarts, only allow wizards over the age of seventeen to enter. So Harry can only daydream about winning.
Then, to his surprise, on Hallowe’en when the Goblet of Fire makes its selection, his name is picked out of the magical cup. Harry will face life-endangering tasks, dragons and Dark wizards.
He’ll have to rely on the help of his friends if he is to make it through the contest alive.

That’s the official blurb of the fourth novel of J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series and it’s been almost 12 years since the fourth movie adaption was released. Time flies! I added many HQ posters, promotional images and episode stills of it to the photo gallery. (More to come the next days due to a new image source!) Enjoy!

Today, August 26, probably one of the most hated Harry Potter characters celebrates her birthday: (Professor) Dolores Jane Umbridge. Right from the start, from the first line the character was introduced by, J.K. Rowling succeeded in making the readers dislike Umbridge. Not only as the defence against dark arts teacher, the headmistress, the High Inquisitor, the Senior Undersecretary or whatever role she took in the Harry Potter series, Dolores Umbridge successfully managed to leave a negative impression with everything she said or did.

“When they entered the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom they found Professor Umbridge already seated at the teacher’s desk, wearing the fluffy pink cardigan of the night before and the black velvet bow on top of her head. Harry was again reminded forcibly of a large fly perched unwisely on top of an even larger toad.”

But, the Harry Potter series wouldn’t be so admired and such a successful saga if it hasn’t been for its villains as much as for its heroes. Dolores plays a huge part in the novels and the movies and will always be a celebrated part of the series. Therefore, happy birthday, Dolores Umbridge.

I finished adding the HQ images – posters, movie stills and promotional images – of the third movie of the series, “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” to the photo gallery. The same applies to this movie, screen captures will be added belatedly.

At this point I would also like to add that many critics, and also fans of the (movie) series, claim that this movie was definitely the weakest of all eight. They say that many important details were left out, the acting was not quite convincing and book details are portrayed differently. I have to admit that this is definitely not one of my favorite movies, and not one of my favorite novels of the Harry Potter saga, but some negative rating definitely does not apply.

Happy 29th birthday to the one who portrayed our Ron Weasley for almost 10 years! Today, August 24, we wish the very talented actor Rupert Grint a wonderful birthday. We’d also like to use the opportunity to say thank you. Thanks for giving Ron Weasley a face for so many years. And such a brilliant one. We couldn’t think of another actor who could’ve played Ron better in the movies.

Truth be told, it’s hard to name one favorite Ron scene that Rupert played. There are so many good ones. He’s made me laugh so many times, sometimes only because of his facial expressions, for instance in the spider scene in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets or when he plays Ron’s nevosity due to his first Quidditch game. There are so many more scenes we might mention that we loved Ron – or let’s say Rupert as Ron – in.

So, again. Thank you for being such a wonderful Ron for 10 years! We wish you only the best of everything on that special day of yours. Make sure to celebrate it with your beloved ones.

I’ve just updated and completed the “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets section on the photo gallery. Screen captures are still missing, but I added promotional images, posters and movie stills – everything mostly in HQ. If you know there are any pictures missing, do not hesitate to contact me, or even send them via e-mail.

Please note that some promotional images, also in the other movies’ categories, can also be found in the photoshoot section since they had taken them for specific magazines etc. The albums may be found in the particular category of the year the photoshoot had been taken in.

Happy birthday to Percy Weasley! Today, August 22, the third son of Molly and Arthur Weasley turns 41 years old.

Percy is probably the most ambitious of all the Weasley children, but – and that should be claimed with the utmost caution – the least liked. Many people disliked him from the first novel on. As a prefect at Hogwarts, Percy took the job very seriously and didn’t believe that his brothers Fred and George would get very far with their jokes and games. His great ambitions led to him working at the Ministry of Magic, even for the Minister of Magic himself. His rise caused a rift between him and his family as he denied that the Minister kept tabs of the Weasleys and Dumbledore. This loyalty to the Minister was a reason why fans of the franchise really began to dislike Percy. However, the fans’ attitude towards him may have changed after he comes to senses when the Ministry falls to the Death Eaters during the return of the Dark Lord.

For Percy’s complete biography and facs, make sure to visit the character’s page. In the movies Percy was portrayed by actor Chris Rankin.
