Gary Oldman attends the 76th Venice Film Festival to promote his movie “The Laundromat”.

Today, September 01, Gary Oldman (Sirius Black) arrived at the 76th Venice Film Festival in Italy to promote his latest movie project The Laundromat.

Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the Netflix movie takes a blackly comic look at the investigation into the Panama Papers, a trove of documents that were leaked to journalists in 2016 and that revealed global schemes set up by a Panamanian law firm to help companies and rich clients around the world avoid billions of dollars in taxes. Meryl Streep plays a middle-class woman who is cheated of money she’s owed and starts asking uncomfortable questions. Gary Oldman and Antonio Banderas portrayas founders of the law firm at the center of the story.

Gary said that “The Laundromat” was well-served by being a Netflix title, because the streaming giant’s global footprint would help the film and its underlying message reach a worldwide audience. “If you’ve got something this serious, you want to get that out to as many people” as possible, he said.

Happy birthday, Rupert Grint!

We wish you a very happy 31st birthday, Rupert Grint! Probably better known as Ron Weasley to us Potter fans, Rupert has been part of our lives since 2001. He was cast as Ron at the age of 11, without having much acting experience since he’d previously acted only in school plays and at his local theater group. From 2001 to 2011, he starred in all eight Harry Potter films and we would like to thank him for that.

You can also see Rupert in the upcoming TV show Servant, alongside Lauren Ambrose and Nell Tiger Free soon.

Happy birthday, Percy Ignatius Weasley!

43 years ago, on August 22, 1976, Percy Weasley was born as the third child of Molly and Arthur Weasley, one of the five sons (and one daughter). He started at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in September of 1987 and was sorted into Gryffindor House just like the rest of the family. He’s known as a very ambitious student and was made prefect in his fifth year. In his seventh year, he was made Head Boy.

After school, Percy went to work at the Ministry of Magic, just as he had planned to, and was assigned to the Department of International Magical Cooperation under Bartemius Crouch Snr., who did not believe in Voldemort’s return. This caused a rift between Percy and his family which was settled after the fall of the ministry to the death eaters.

Harry Potter Web wishes a happy birthday to Percy Weasley.
