Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) stars in artist James Arthur’s latest music video for his single “Empty Space”
On Good Morning Britain, X-Factor winner James Arthur has revealed that Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) is starring in his new music video. The latest song is called Empty Space and we were provided with a short glimpse of Tom in it.
On Tom Felton’s role, he said: “Tom’s one of my favourite actors. Obviously everyone is a Harry Potter fan. We were lucky enough to land him. He illustrates the song perfectly.
“It deals with loss, trying to fill that void, someone you’ve loved you’ve lost in that capacity. Something I’ve dealt with a lot in my life. I wanted to tell a story, being in denial when you’ve lost something and trying to fill that space.”
Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) has come forward in support of trans rights as UK activists urge people to fill out a government-led public consultation to reform the Gender Recognition Act 2004 (GRA).
The Gender Recognition Act is a ground-breaking piece of legislation that came into action in 2004, allowing people with gender dysphoria to change their legal gender, but now campaigners are seeking to alter the law.
Activists are now fighting to have the GRA changed to allow people to self-identify their gender without rigorous medical checks to prove they’re living in their truth, and Emma’s support is bringing the fight into the mainstream spotlight.
In a photo on her Instagram feed, she wears a white t-shirt with the slogan ‘Trans Rights are Human Rights’, alongside tagging multiple trans and LGBTQ+ organisations.
Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) opens up about her eating disorder and tells how the Harry Potter saga helped her overcome the disease.
Evanna (Luna Lovegood) and her Dancing With the Stars partner Keo Motsepe are bringing the Harry Potter magic to the ballroom by dancing the Viennese Waltz to the tune of the iconic “Hedwig’s Theme.” Before taking the stage next week, ET’s Katie Krause was with Evanna and Keo at their DWTS rehearsal on Thursday, where Evanna reflected on how the famous franchise helped her with her body issues and overcome an eating disorder.
“I believe on raising awareness on this issue and it’s very healing for me to talk about this stuff,” she confessed. “I wanted to talk about how before Harry Potter, I was quite sick, and how the Harry Potter books really helped me through an eating disorder. And the reason I wanted to talk about it on here, it’s really healing for me… That is the full story, that’s the only kind of honest way to tell it, and that’s why it was so special because it was the only kind of light that I saw in the world at a very dark time.”
Adding that getting her Harry Potter role was a “fairy tale,” she however, doesn’t want her story to be sensationalized and for people to think that her mental issues were “cured” just because she got the part.

Lumos Foundation USA held a special fundraising event in New York City on 22 and 23 September 2018 where J.K. Rowling talked to actress Whoopi Goldberg.
Lumos Foundation USA was delighted to welcome more than 350 guests to a special fundraising event held in New York City on 22 and 23 September 2018. The highlight of Saturday’s gala dinner was a conversation between Lumos Founder and President J.K. Rowling and Emmy, Oscar and Tony-award winning star Whoopi Goldberg. During the conversation, J.K. Rowling described the trauma faced by the millions of children around the world who are separated from their families and the importance of raising awareness of the 8 million children trapped in orphanages.
“There is a vast humanitarian crisis that affects children overwhelmingly, which most of us are totally unaware of,” J.K.Rowling said. They went on to discuss how Lumos works to reunite families and help some of the most disadvantaged children around the world, highlighting the organisation’s progress in ending the harmful institutionalisation of children. They were later joined on stage by Lumos CEO Georgette Mulheir, who praised the generosity of Americans but called on them not to donate to or volunteer at orphanages, and to redirect funds instead to support networks in the local community to help families stay together. Rounding out the night was a preview of an upcoming HBO documentary on the issue, due to premiere in late 2019, and a special musical performance by Jamie Parker, star of the Tony-Award winning play on Broadway, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, accompanied on piano by the most prolific and honoured female theatrical composer in history, Jeanine Tesori.
The gala weekend continued on the Sunday when guests were treated to a benefit performance of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two at the Lyric Theatre on Broadway, with a surprise introduction by J.K. Rowling. Delighted fans in the audience heard our Founder and President talk about the importance of family, how this is a central theme of the play, and the inspiration behind her founding Lumos – the story of a young boy, trapped in an institution in the Czech Republic, whose image she first saw in a newspaper in 2004.
The first sneak peek of Natalia Tena (Nymphadora Tonks) and Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) in YouTube’s Origing has been released.
“We meet a group of troubled passengers as they wake up on a damaged spaceship abandoned in deep space. Each having left behind a dark past in search of a fresh start on a newly colonized planet, they’re desperate to survive at all costs. But as their terrifying situation spirals into paranoia, they come to realize that the greatest threat to their dream of starting over – and indeed their lives – might actually be within their midst…”
Just a short synopsis for those who didn’t know what the show is going to be about. Origin premieres November 14 on YouTube Premium.
Alison Sudol’s (Queenie Goldstein) single “Moon” is featured in Greenpeace video.
Probably best known to you as the wonderful, charming Queenie Goldstein from the Fantastic Beasts movie series, Alison Sudol shared the short clip of herself and her single “Moon” in this Greenpeace video. She’s not only a very talented actress and singer, as her song proves, but also a proud, helping activist.
Earlier this year, Alison was on board a Greenpeace ship heading for Antarctic waters. She had joined an expedition to gather scientific evidence of the need for an Antarctic Ocean Sanctuary to safeguard species like whales and penguins. More than 40 international celebrities have joined David and Alison as ambassadors for the ‘Protect the Antarctic’ campaign. From countries ranging from Argentina to China, Spain to Israel, the ambassadors include actors, presenters, explorers, musicians, chefs and fashion designers.
Alison’s song “Moon” is now featured in a short clip for Greenpeace. Enjoy and congratulations, Alison!
Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) stopped by the BuzzFeed office to challenge unsuspecting Harry Potter fans to a new invented game: The Surprise Staring Contest.
So, as the headline already tells you, Rupert participated in BuzzFeed‘s new favorite game, The Surprise Staring Contest. The rules to play by are pretty simple, it’s just like the good old game you knew growing up: first person to blink, loses.
Except in this version of the game, BuzzFeed employees are led into a room blindfolded, unaware of the celebrity they’re about to have a staring contest with. Needless to say, these Harry Potter fans were barely able to keep it together when they were suddenly staring into the eyes of Ron Weasley himself.
As hard as they tried, Rupert must’ve drunk some Felix Felicis potion because he didn’t lose ONCE. By the way, while talking to Rupert, he revealed that he’d only JUST watched the first Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. He went on to explain behind-the-scenes that, while he hates watching himself on film, he felt “far enough removed” from himself as an 11-year-old, thus he could now enjoy watching it.
Actress Claudia Kim finally breaks the silence about playing Nagini in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
As the final trailer for The Crimes of Grindelwald just revealed, a big name from the Harry Potter books is a major part of the new Fantastic Beasts film. And yes, you’ve read correctly: the name you’re so familiar with is Nagini.
Until now, Warner Bros. hasn’t disclosed the name of the character played by South Korean actress Claudia Kim in the movie. Kim is none other than Nagini, a circus performer with a unique power who years later becomes Lord Voldemort’s trusty killer serpent and Horcrux. Check out the video above where Kim, after keeping this secret for more than a year, is finally allowed to publicly speak her character’s name for the first time.
In the new film, Nagini is a member of the traveling Circus Arcanus where she puts on a very convincing transformation act for muggles.
Kim says Nagini is far from the villain one might expect from a character who, after all, eventually kills Severus Snape. “It will be so interesting to see another side of Nagini,” Kim tells EW. “You’ve only seen her as a Horcrux. In this, she’s a wonderful and vulnerable woman who wants to live. She wants to stay a human being and I think that’s a wonderful contrast to the character.”
